The bassist Kim Cass put forward a startlingly advanced vision on Levs, his 2024 bandleading debut, executing works of head-spinning intricacy with a palpable human touch. We’re excited to see what he has in store for these free matinee shows, which will double as live-recording sessions, with the Levs drummer Tyshawn Sorey back behind the kit and the always-superb Mark Turner joining on saxophone.
