BrasiNola is a New Orleans-based musical group that blends 1970s and 1980s Brazilian tropicália, samba, and funk with deep New Orleans second-line rhythms for a mix of samba, folk, psychedelia, and jazz-funk. Co-founded by bassist Ron Johnson, the band features local players performing classic Brazilian tracks with a heavy NOLA groove:
