MASEGO: Fix Your Face Tour
Masego is a 33 year old Jamaican-American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist known for his unique self-described musical style called "TrapHouseJazz," which blends R&B, soul, jazz, and hip-hop while prominently featuring live saxophone and electronic loop stations, traceing the arc of Black music's journey, blending fresh jazz innovation with ancestral echos.
His journey began in Virginia, a state that has birthed cultural architects like Pharrell and Timbaland, yet Masego's path is distinct: a generational storyteller who crafts songs from scratch with his Looper pedal, weaving rhythms that are both immediate and eternal. Self-taught on instruments like the piano, drums, and saxophone, he gained early traction on SoundCloud and released projects like The Pink Polo EP (2015) with producer Medasin.
Masego shot to global fame in 2017 with the viral live-looping video and track "Tadow" alongside French musician FKJ. He then released his full-length debut album, Lady Lady, in 2018, the title track becoming a swift hit. His 2020 EP Studying Abroad: Extended Stay earned a nomination for Best Progressive R&B Album at the 2022 Grammy Awards. His music has since been featured in films and series across Netflix, Hulu, and HBO.
Masego's creative sanctuaries in Afrocentric countries speak to his commitment to community and craft, with ventures that stretch from Ghana and Brazil to the frontier of tech innovation. His reverence for Black women--the undeniable wellspring of culture and inspiration in his life-runs as a throughline in every note he plays and every story he tells.
TONIGHT, he makes his New Orleans stop on his current 2026 FIX YOUR FACE TOUR.
