One of the longest-running weekly fusion residencies in New Orleans in the last decade+, Pat Casey & The Sound have been holding Sunday nights down at The Spotted Cat since 2010-ish. Led by New Orleans-based by way of Denver, CO go-to bassist Pat Casey, he and his rotating cast of forward-thinking young players present original compositions and fresh new arrangements of favorites across jazz, funk, and Black American Music (BAM) inside one of the tiniest unassuming historic bars on the Frenchmen Street music strip. Any given Sunday is packed shoulder-to-shoulder, as the night is also known for surprise sit-ins and drop-ins from a who's who of local and global talent.
